Remarketing (also known as retargeting) is a strategy to provide targeted advertising to people who have already visited or taken action on your website. In terms of technical execution, remarketing is the process of using javascript tags (called pixels) to place cookies in the user’s browser. Then, the cookie will notify the remarketing platform to place specific display advertisements through the advertising exchange based on the pages or products that users have used or searched for on your website or application.

Remarketing (also referred to as retargeting) is at its most basic the method of advertising on the internet to and audience which has previously viewed your website. This can encourage conversions/sales from customers who have checked out your web site but who have not yet taken action - most people want to consider an offer at least several times before deciding on it.

Remarketing gives you a chance to reach out to customers who have previously visited your website with banner ads.

When a customer visits your site, they are tagged with a special cookie allowing you to advertise to them online. This means you get another chance to convert them into a sale!

When you visit our blog or forum, we may use Google AdWords remarketing services to show our advertisements on third-party websites (including Google) to prior readers of those pages. This is accomplished via the use of a cookie that holds anonymous information about your previous visit.

If you have a Google account, you may choose not to get these advertisements by visiting this link: http://www.google.com/settings/ads

As a member of the NAI (Network Advertising Initiative), Google is also able to provide you the opportunity to opt out of their advertising here: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt out.asp.

Remarketing, also known as retargeting, is a digital marketing tactic that enables brands to display advertising to users that had previously visited the brand’s site. Remarketing ads can substantially increase total website conversions by targeting relevant previous users.

98% of website visitors will leave your site without making a purchase. Remarketing preserves your opportunity to convert those people into customers by continuing to engage with them across the web and on social media using custom display ads. Advertisements are tailored to their preferences, showing products they are likely to be interested in, which boosts the opportunity for sales.

Remarketing (or retargeting) is the practice of serving ads over the Internet to people who have already visited your website. By placing ads on the websites and platforms that people use most often, it makes your company appear to be "following" people on the Internet.
