Hi, I have experience in developing HTML web sites with Dreamweaver 8/Photoshop and also with setting up Wordpress sites.

I'm an old timer and haven't learned mobile web development yet. Could anyone suggest how or where I might be able to get started learning this? I am getting requests from clients to make their HTML sites look right for mobile devices and I want to get a handle on making a site work for multiple devices.

I'd appreciate any suggestions for the best online tutorials that you can recommend.

Learning mobile web development can be a rewarding journey, and there are several resources available to help you get started:

1. Online Courses and Tutorials: Websites like Udemy, Coursera, and Codecademy offer comprehensive courses on mobile web development. Look for courses that cover HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design techniques.

2. Documentation and Guides: Platforms like Mozilla Developer Network (MDN) and W3Schools provide detailed documentation and tutorials on web development technologies. These resources are great for beginners to learn the fundamentals and explore advanced topics.

3. Books: There are numerous books available on mobile web development, covering topics ranging from basic concepts to advanced techniques. Look for titles like "Learning Web Design" by Jennifer Robbins and "Responsive Web Design" by Ethan Marcotte.

4. Online Communities and Forums: Joining online communities like Stack Overflow, Reddit's r/webdev, and GitHub can provide valuable insights and support from experienced developers. Participating in discussions and asking questions can help you learn from others' experiences.

5. Bootcamps and Workshops: Consider enrolling in a coding bootcamp or attending workshops focused on mobile web development. These immersive learning experiences offer hands-on training and mentorship to help you accelerate your learning.

6. Practice Projects: Practice is key to mastering mobile web development. Start by building simple projects like personal websites or small web apps, and gradually work your way up to more complex projects.

Remember to stay curious, keep practicing, and don't be afraid to experiment with new technologies and techniques. Mobile web development is constantly evolving, so staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices is essential for success.
