Is SERP position in Google Search Console accurate?

Just a quick question to fellow warriors, Is SERP position in Google Search Console accurate? This can be visible when you click "Performance", then check positions option.

In my opinion, No. You cannot expect Google search console's data to be 100% accurate as it is an average estimate of reports provided & not an exact report. But I might be wrong, let's see what other experienced people have to say on this.

Google Search Console data is not always accurate... When Google calculates the average keyword position, it looks at the top 1000 positions in the SERPs. This means that if you add new keywords but maintain a low ranking.

It's a reliable measurement, even if it doesn't always match up with what site owners see when they check their own ranking positions.
