Hello

I need advise from experienced people with hosting.

For a site similar to myspace.com

Registered 30,000 profiles and for example 3,000 users logging in at same time in 1 hour.

Does a VPS 1 gb ram can handle it or i will have to use dedicated server?

Thanks in advance

You'd better choose VPS hosting solution to handle all your needs, but it will be not so easy to find reliable hosting provider. As for recommendation, have a look at VPSlink.com, A2hosting.com and also 7host.com can be good for you.
In my opinion, you will make good choice having compared them.

Agree, VPS is what you need.
Check out plans from serverpoint, lunatpages and quillhost.
These companies provide their VPS accounts qualitatively and prices are low on their services.

I can absolutely agree with you that cloud server hosting will be a perfect solution for OP. I can suggest you to check Bodhost.com cloud server hosting (http://www.bodhost.com/cloud-server-hosting.shtml) plans as this company is stable and has good rep in the hosting industry.
Hope this discounts will be useful for you:

Social networks require high traffic, so it would be reasonable to get unmetereв dedicated server or VPS. May recommend hostv.com as the quality Vps provider which has plans including all the necessary for quality work.

VPS or Dedicated with 4Gb ram and above should be okay.

You may need a good dedi. 3000 users in an hour will mean excess of 30,000 page views on something like a social networkign site. You need a good server.

I must go with Intel, not for any solid reason, to be fair its a bit better than AMD -recoding /bench mark wise-

My reason is more of the verity type, you are running AMD right now, your undecided on the route to take, the 750 is a great little overclocker so why not.

I see you mentioned "Future Proofing" both are as much "proofed" as your getting right now, wait for 32nm you said buying over the next few months so buy the little things right now ssd perhaps and wait.

I belive there is a sence in getting dedicated server. Or at least a reasourceful VPS/

Both are offered with quality at webhostingbuzz.com which i do recommend as the quality host of affordable price range.

Either a VPS or dedicated server will be OK. Maybe a VPS for starters.
