Googlebot uses an algorithmic process to determine which sites to crawl, how often, and how many pages to fetch from each site.

Googlebot crawls websites that it finds links to on other sites and re crawls sites when they are told to in meta tags and does not crawl sites that are no index. You control a lot of what google indexes on your site and what you do not want them to index. You can also tell google bot how often to crawl your site to check for new information or updates.
