Both offer to pioneer automatic buying and selling structures with professional advisors.

MT4 and MT5 don’t have equal server build-ups.

When compared to MT4, MT5 is faster because of the improvements.

The server configurations for MT4 and MT5 are not the same.

MT4 was created primarily for forex traders, whereas MT5 allowed traders to trade CFDs, equities, and futures.

MT4 is a simple trading platform. It comes with 30 built-in indicators. Traders can choose between two execution modes, four different pending orders, two types of market orders, a trailing stop function, and two types of stop orders.

MT5 contains a depth of market access, 38 built-in indicators, six types of pending orders, and a separate economic calendar page with amazing features such as impact, schedule, news event, etc.

EUR and USD are the account-based currencies available in MT4, while BCC, BTC, LTC, ETH, and USD are available in MT5.

When it comes to deciding between MT4 and MT5, it is entirely a matter of personal preference. However, MT4 may be a better alternative for beginners solely trading forex because of its ease of use.

MT4 and MT5 are two different types of trading platforms that allow users to trade stocks, commodities, and other financial instruments. They both offer a user-friendly interface and comprehensive data analysis tools. However, there are some important differences between the two platforms.
MT4 is more popular among institutional investors due to its greater functionality and features. MT5 is more popular with individual traders because it offers lower costs and simpler interface.

MT4 (MetaTrader 4) and MT5 (MetaTrader 5) are two popular forex trading platforms. Here are some differences between them:

1. Programming Language: MT4 uses MQL4 (MetaQuotes Language 4) while MT5 uses MQL5 (MetaQuotes Language 5). MQL5 is a more advanced programming language with more features, including the ability to develop trading robots.

2. Timeframes: MT4 offers nine timeframes for charting, while MT5 has 21 timeframes available for charting.

3. Asset Classes: MT4 is primarily used to trade forex, while MT5 handles stocks, futures, and options, among other financial instruments.

4. Hedging: MT4 allows traders to use hedging strategies, while MT5 does not support hedging.

5. Depth of Market: A Depth of Market feature in MT5 allows traders to see the bid and ask prices of assets in real-time. It is not available in MT4.

6. Backtesting: MT5 offers more advanced backtesting features, allowing traders to test trading strategies under various market conditions.

7. User Interface: MT5 has a more modern and user-friendly interface compared to MT4.

In summary, while both platforms are popular and widely used, MT5 offers more advanced features and is designed to handle a wider range of financial instruments. In spite of its simplicity and the availability of custom indicators and trading robots developed using MQL4, some traders still prefer MT4.

MT5 is faster and more efficient than MT4, but it doesn't replace the previous platform as it is different and simply offers more than MT4 does. MT5 provides the ability to trade more instruments in almost all financial markets, including Forex, stocks, indices, commodities, and even cryptocurrencies.
