A domain extension is the part of an internet domain name that comes after the dot. Somewhat analogous to a country code top-level domain (ccTLD), it usually indicates a specific country, territory, or domain type. Examples include .com, .edu and .gov.

The extension is used to specify a country code or any web category.

Domain name extension is after the dot and helps describe what your website is about. Gov is for government .com is for personal and business websites. Org is for non profits and they also have domain names for each country and some domain names for area like eu for europe. Just buy domain name for more than 1 year and use keywords in it to help seo.

A domain extension is the combination of characters following the period in a web address. Domain name extensions are the last part of a domain name. For example, in ‘google.com,’ the domain name extension is .com.

Domain extensions are the last part of a domain name. For example, in “quora.com” the domain name extension is .com. Your domain name and domain name extension give you a working domain name that target your audience.
