Fetch as Google is a tool in Search Console which allows users to test if Googlebot is able to fetch a URL on your site and how it renders a webpage. Once the fetch attempt is completed, one of four statuses will be shown: completed, partial, redirected or an error message.

Once the fetch attempt is completed, one of four statuses will be shown: completed, partial, redirected or an error message. If a status other than completed is received the user can then try to troubleshoot the problem. The render option shows how the fetched page appears after being crawled by Google bot. After fetching a page the user can request that Google re-index.

The Fetch API is a simple interface for fetching resources. Fetch makes it easier to make web requests and handle responses than with the older XMLHttpRequest, which often requires additional logic (for example, for handling redirects).
