Dofollow backlinks and nofollow backlinks are two ways of identifying a link and telling Google how to associate the website you are linking to your website. Dofollow links are a way to pass on authority to a website, while a nofollow link does not pass on link juice.

Differentiate between a do-follow and a no-follow link.
Do-follow links are the bread and butter of SEO. When a website links to another website, they are passing on some of its website authority (or "link juice") to the other website. This is why having links from high-authority websites is so important for boosting your website's ranking.
No-follow links don't pass on any link juice, but they still do provide some benefits (such as referral traffic) and should not be ignored. For most websites, it's best to have a mix of do-follow and no-follow links.

Do follow links: Do follow links are those types of links that will allow the passing of link juice to a website, and it will also help the website rank, traffic, domain authority, etc.
No follow links: No follow links are those types of links that cannot pass the link juice and it won't help with keyword ranking, but it will help with traffic and leads.
