The default location of the Outlook PST (Personal Storage Table) file varies depending on the version of Outlook and the operating system you are using.

Here are the common locations for the PST file:

For Microsoft Outlook on Windows:

Outlook 2019, Outlook 2016, and Outlook 2013:

The default location for PST files is usually:

C:\Users<your_username>\Documents\Outlook Files\

Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2007:

The default location for PST files is usually:

C:\Users<your_username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\

Please note that the "AppData" folder is hidden by default. To access it, you can type the folder path directly in the Windows Explorer address bar or enable "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" in the Folder Options.

For Microsoft Outlook on macOS:

Outlook for Mac:

The default location for PST files is usually:

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office [version number]/Outlook/

In this location, you'll typically find Outlook data files with the ".pst" extension. However, the file name might be different if you have multiple data files or if you've manually specified a custom location for your PST files.

Keep in mind that if you're using Exchange or Office 365 accounts, your emails and data are often stored on the server, and you might not have a local PST file.

If you're unable to find your PST file in the default locations, you can also check the data file location within Outlook itself by following these steps:

Open Outlook.
Click on the "File" menu (or the "Outlook" menu in older versions).
Select "Account Settings" and then "Account Settings" again from the drop-down menu.
In the "Account Settings" window, switch to the "Data Files" tab.
You should see a list of data files (PST files) associated with your Outlook account, along with their file paths.

If you want to move or manage your PST files, be careful, as relocating or modifying them incorrectly can lead to data loss or corruption. Always back up your PST files before making any changes.
