You can go to google webmaster tool there will an option of submit sitemap you can click on that option and add your sitemap simply by tying sitemap.xml.

Hey everyone, I'm using the Yoast SEO plugin for my website's optimization. I'm curious, do I still need to manually submit a sitemap to google search console, or does Yoast take care of that automatically?

Generate the XML sitemap and upload it to the root folder of the domain and then submit it to the google search console and verify it.

You can upload it through the search console for faster processing. If your sitemap is in the root directory, google will crawl and discover it without any additional work on your part. Once google finds the sitemap, it will crawl it regularly for updates.
