I saw a press announcement this morning saying that Affinity’s new web hosting brand – www.Gate.com – had officially launched.

Here are links to 2 versions of the news:

http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060111/20060111005265.html?.v=1

I have checked out the offering and the plans here:

http://www.gate.com/unix/compare_plans.htm

They look pretty good – and they say on the site that they are for more serious web developers. I also noticed in the 'About Us' section that they say they have really top notch tech support and experience:

''Our greatest asset (by far) is our experienced team of support reps, developers, and engineers. Our support team has the highest average tenure in the web hosting industry, and several of our administrators have been with the company more than a decade. It's simply not possible to have more experience in hosting than we do.''

So has anyone tried them out yet? (Even though they just officially launched – I know they’ve been signing up accounts for a while now.)

Is Gate.com good for serious developers?
