Hello community, I have a tech question here, do not want to post URL's to actual business, but I found a cluster of local websites, all developed by the same company, which one of my businesses belong to.

Through SEO tools, scrapers, and things just to try and fix any redirects or errors and clean up some of the coding, I found that they were all producing an unusual high amount of outgoing links to other websites. So what I am saying is basically Web company A designed my companies website, I found a bunch of hidden outgoing links apparently embedded, along with other websites they did. My real question is after going through the HTML page, and exhausting myself I cannot find anywhere on the page they are. They all have anchor text, cant find that. I mean the pages are pretty sparse, a lot of retail items and shop pages. Basic header , footer, no ads, just a basic business site really. That's how I found numerous of their other local business pages ( legitimate businesses say Day cares, Spa's, local butcher ) all have the same thing.

I thought it might be in the cache somehow but not the case. Screaming Frog gave an up to the minute report and they were all there, on every page. My concern really is should I approach the company, is there a way I can find and delete this I suppose malicious coding/linking that is obviously benefiting another. I suppose they are using my website as an invisible linker to others that pay for that. Where would I look to see possibly these links are being generated as I do not want my business website altered, slowed, or utilized for their gain.

I hope this is the right place to post this, just trying to tie up some loose ends so I thought Id come to the pro's here ! And thank you so much for reading this and taking the time. Again I hope to reiterate I am not trying to ask about shady link practices, just a concerned business owner who has to get back to paying payroll !
