There are so many ways to promote your website.

I am describing 2 of them which are the most important:

1) Search Engine Strategies are the most important and some how inexpensive ways to promote the site.

2) Next very important is Linking Strategies as links to the site from other sites drive additional traffic.

I agree with The Nile hardwards mentioned points.
Participate in Forums too.i dnt recommend Directory Submissions coz it wnt carry quality expect few directories.

You'll get good backlinks.

2. PPC - Pay per click is an paid marketing activity in which you pay for every click you get on your ads on SERP.
3. SMO - Social media optimization is an both paid and organic way of marketing in which you can share post or content on different social media sites and also run paid campaigns.
