Its an extremely useful feature. You can create feeds of your blogs or of your tweets. It became so popular the day it was launched that the server crashed on the first day itself. Thats because yahoo didn't provide a tutorial for it.

Yahoo! Pipes creates new pages by aggregating RSS feeds from different sources. Simple commands (sorting, counting, truncating) can be combined together to create output that meets your requirements.
This is how Pipes work
-Drag and drop editor lets you view and construct your pipeline
-You can fetch any data source via its RSS, Atom or other XML feed
-Extract the data you want, combine it with data from another source
-Apply various built-in filters as well as user-defined filters and much more...

Yahoo! Pipes is a web application from Yahoo! that provides a graphical user interface for building data mashups that aggregate web feeds, web pages, and other services, creating Web-based apps from various sources, and publishing those apps. The application works by enabling users to "pipe" information from different sources and then set up rules for how that content should be modified (for example, filtering)
