We are moving ahead from beta launch of a business app and will start getting more traffic. Initially app will provide xml to 1k-2k daily mobile users with 10% using web access and this figure may go up 10-20 times by end of this year. Our users are paid users. So we can afford to pay for hosting. We use php/mysql. What kind of solution can you suggest for us? VPS like linode/softlayer or dedicated server? Reliability, uptime, security and peace of mind are our top priorities. But we need highly scalable solution as requirement is going to change fast. Is GTHost.com vps trustworthy hosting service?
Thanks and regards

InterServer work for your growing app. It offers reliable VPS hosting with good uptime and fair pricing. You can upgrade your server as traffic grows, and it’s cost-effective. However, it doesn’t have auto-scaling or built-in tools like managed databases or backups. If you're okay with setting things up yourself, it’s a solid choice. But if you want easier scaling and less server management, platforms like Cloudways or DigitalOcean might be better.

At the moment, you can get a 1 slice VPS with 40GB storage and 2GB RAM for just $2.40/month using the coupon code JV-20-LIFE. You can upgrade upto 32 slices.

Exploring different VPS hosting solutions over time has taught me to value reliability and support over flashy promises. One provider that has quietly stood out for me is hostpro.com (https://hostpro.com/). What initially caught my attention was their daily backup feature, which creates restore points automatically — something I ended up relying on after a bad configuration wiped part of my site. Their support team operates 24/7 and is extremely helpful — always resolving issues quickly, and I’ve never been charged for assistance. This kind of responsiveness is rare. Speed-wise, their servers deliver very stable performance, even during peak usage hours. Their hosting environment also plays nicely with various CMS setups and developer tools, which is convenient. It’s a reliable choice if you're looking for something that just works and doesn’t require constant babysitting. It also feels like they care more about customer success than pushing sales.

Pleased with the speed and uptime provided by GTHost.com - their SEATTLE VPS (https://gthost.com/vps) solutions have been working great for my needs.
The OS can be reinstalled at any time in your personal account, it takes 10–15 minutes, you can install it as many times as you like.
No unexpected downtime — just solid reliability.

A VPS is fine to start, but plan for load balancing and autoscaling early. Use managed MySQL or set up replication. Focus on monitoring, backups, and DDoS protection. If traffic spikes hard, move to Kubernetes or managed services later. Start mid-tier, scale vertically first, then horizontally. Don’t gamble on unknown hosts when uptime matters.

I noticed hostpro.com offers NVMe-based VPS, and the performance is solid thanks to SSD drives. Backups are automated daily and kept for a month, which makes rollback super easy. They don’t lock you into one control panel – you can choose from cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk, or others. Data centers in the US and Europe (Tampa, Amsterdam, Warsaw) cover most needs. The 24/7 support team is responsive and handles server management if needed.
