Hello, going to expand my social network to Indian users and doesn't want my users to have a very slow connection time. I'm currently hosting at one web host, which is great for our current users. I would like to find a VPS that would be great connection speeds in both countries but I guess that this might be hard (if not impossible), as I have trouble connecting to Indian sites here from South Africa. I'm on a budget and I'm looking for a 1-2GB RAM VPS, with around 50GB disk space and 2 cores. It doesn't have to be those specs.
What are your views on Hostnamaste.com OpenVZ VPS? Will they work well for me?
Thank you very much.

HostNamaste’s Mumbai VPS is a budget-friendly option for Indian users. It’s fine for basic sites, but OpenVZ has some limits. For better global speed, use a CDN or try servers in Singapore.

I'd draw your attention to VPS deals from time-tested companies: hostingsource.com (https://hostingsource.com/vps-hosting-promo/) (first month discount) and inet.ws (https://inet.ws/).
Their services are truly above and beyond my expectations.
The quality of service is worth the money I spent.

VPS accounts from libertyvps.net and inet.ws are worth trying.

If you are targeting users in India, then go with a VPS server provider with data centers in or near India. You can easily find reliable options offering 1-2GB RAM, 50GB storage, and good bandwidth at a low cost. Look for SSD-based VPS with DDoS protection and 24/7 support for smooth global performance.

Right deals are available from inet.ws and scalahosting.com.
Their customer support is brilliant. Hosting servers are very good and mostly uptime. Pricing of the hosting plans is also affordable.

If you're looking for a VPS (Virtual Private Server) suitable for Indian users (either because your audience is in India, you need Indian data-centers, or you want Indian billing/support), here’s a breakdown of what to look for + some good provider suggestions tailored for India. I can also pull in detailed pricing/comparison for 2025 if you like. If your audience is majority in India (web users, app users), I’d pick a VPS hosted in India (Mumbai/Bangalore) to minimize latency and hit local SEO benefits. If you expect growth/traffic spikes, pick a provider that allows easy scaling, has good support, and maybe choose a slightly higher spec plan so you have headroom.

I love how easy it is to set up and manage my website with Hostnamaste.com openvz vps hosting (https://www.hostnamaste.com/openvz-vps.php). Simple control panel. Easy to manage. No technical skills required!
Like this option: OpenVZ-4096 at $19.99/Mo - 3xCPUs, RAM 4GB, 100GB Storage, 4TB Bandwidth, SolusVM VPS Panel. My eCommerce store runs flawlessly thanks to their powerful servers.

Have been very happy with Hostnamaste.com hosting service. Uptime is good. They are not deceptive as most others whose claims are later found false.
Their LIVE support is very quick and agent will get to you in a seconds. Tech support is good and resolved several issues with getting my SQL database moved over from my old host.
