Excel can be convenient for quick edits and storing contact data, but it isn’t ideal for long-term contact management. XLS and XLSX files treat contacts as flat rows without enforcing structure, which causes problems when syncing to mobile devices, email clients, or cloud platforms. You often see issues like missing phone labels, duplicate entries, or partial imports, especially with large or complex contact lists.

vCard (VCF) solves these problems by storing each contact with clearly defined fields, including names, phone labels, emails, addresses, and notes. For long-term use, converting your Excel address book to vCard ensures compatibility across Android, iPhone, Outlook, and Gmail. A tool like Softaken Excel to vCard Converter can safely transform Excel contacts, map fields correctly, and preserve all details, making it far more reliable for ongoing contact management.

You should switch to VCF. Its better and more reliable.
