I know Almalinux plays nice with cPanel but isn't Rocky Linux a better OS?

Both AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux are excellent choices and strong successors to CentOS. For cPanel, AlmaLinux has a very well-established reputation for compatibility and stability. Rocky Linux is also very capable, and often the 'better' choice depends more on specific project requirements or personal preference rather than a clear objective superiority. They both offer robust performance and security.

That's a great summary! It truly comes down to specific use cases. Both distributions have matured incredibly well and offer fantastic support, making the choice a pleasant problem to have.
