View Full Version : Budget Hosting for Development Testing?
Hi, I need a budget VPS for internal development and testing.
Specs: 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD. No heavy traffic expected.
Can you offer a monthly plan? Can I rely on Regvps.com vps hosting? Try or not?

After trying several providers, I’ve stuck with hostpro.com (https://hostpro.com/) for my own projects. One feature that gives me peace of mind is their automatic daily backups for all services—so if an update breaks something or a hack occurs, restoring data is straightforward. Their support team is available 24/7 and has helped me troubleshoot everything from config errors to performance spikes without extra fees. In my view, that combination of backup reliability and knowledgeable staff makes them worth a look.

Hi, I need a budget VPS for internal development and testing. Specs: 1 vCPU, eldfall chronicles (https://eldfall-chronicles.com/sl/collections/wargame) 2 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD. https://zahnarztslowenien.at/aesthetische-zahnheilkunde/zahnveneers No heavy traffic expected. Can you offer a monthly plan? Can I rely on Regvps.com vps hosting? Try or not? Those specs are very standard for a dev environment, and most budget-friendly providers should be able to handle that load without issues. Since it is for internal testing, I would definitely suggest sticking to a monthly plan first to see how the latency and disk I/O perform for your specific workflow before committing long-term. Also, check if they offer easy snapshots, as that is a lifesaver when testing new configurations.

VPS hosting is necessary for those who want to have root access (full access) to administrative management of their system.
Get extra 50GB SSD from $10/month. Additional IPs $2/month. With Regvps NVMe VPS (https://regvps.com/linux-vps/) hosting, the user can install any software and host any number of sites.

24/7 support actually means 24/7 with these hosts — no delays at any hour, check out
1) Rightservers.com (https://Rightservers.com/)
2) Hostpresto.com (https://Hostpresto.com/)
3) Interserver.net (https://Interserver.net/)
Even during peak hours, my website loads lightning-fast.
Compare them and choose the best host for your needs.

You may want to take a look at InterServer's (https://interserver.net/vps/) VPS plans. Their single-slice VPS offers 1 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 40GB SSD storage, 2TB bandwidth, and a 10Gbps port starting at around $2.40/month with the coupon JV-20-LIFE, which locks in the price for life. For development and testing workloads, it can be a cost-effective option to consider.

For small web projects, a shared environment may be sufficient, since all operational aspects are handled by the provider. When resource predictability and minimizing the impact of “neighbors” are important, a VPS provides hardware isolation through KVM virtualization. hostpro.com offers VPS with NVMe-backed storage and automatic daily backups with a 30-day retention period. This allows for effective management of data loss risks and provides configuration flexibility. The solution is chosen based on the complexity of the stack and growth prospects.

For budget VPS stuff, I’d check out Fresh Roasted Hosting too. Solid performance for small dev/testing projects, and support has been reliable in my experience. RegVPS might work, but cheap VPS providers can be pretty hit or miss. You should open support to get half pricing because the pricing listed is for managed VPS.
