I've encountered a strange issue lately where Yahoo Mail clearly shows an attachment in the email, but clicking Download does absolutely nothing. I originally noticed the problem while trying to Download Attachments from Yahoo Mail (https://www.drssoftech.com/blog/download-attachments-in-yahoo-mail/) for a client project. The email opens correctly, the attachment preview appears, and everything looks normal. However, when I click the download button, there's no response at all.

I tested multiple emails and noticed the behavior wasn't limited to a single attachment. Some PDF files failed, image files failed, and even simple documents refused to download. I checked my internet connection, browser permissions, antivirus settings, and available storage space. Nothing seemed out of place.

After spending several days troubleshooting, I started looking into alternative ways of accessing mailbox data. During that search, I found the DRS Softech Yahoo Backup Tool and decided to explore whether it could simplify attachment management. It appeared to provide more flexibility for users who regularly work with large numbers of emails and files.

Has anyone experienced a similar Yahoo Mail issue where attachments are visible but completely refuse to download? If so, what finally solved the problem for you?
