Hi everyone
I've been running a Shopify store for a little over a year now. We're doing around $15k–$20k in monthly revenue, and I've reached the point where spreadsheets just aren't cutting it anymore. Between VAT on international sales, Stripe refunds throwing off the numbers, inventory tracking, and everything else, it's becoming too much to manage on my own.
I've started looking for an ecommerce accounting firm that actually specializes in online businesses rather than a general accountant who also happens to work with a few ecommerce clients. From what I've seen, there seems to be a big difference. Some firms really understand Shopify, payment processors, and reconciliation, while others seem unfamiliar with the day-to-day challenges of running an online store.
For those of you working with an ecommerce-focused accounting firm, how did you find them? And roughly what do you pay each month?
