I love the look of hanging egg chairs, but I'm wondering how comfortable they are after an hour or two. Do the deep cushions and cocoon-style shape provide enough support for reading or relaxing for longer periods, or are they better suited to shorter sessions?

Late to the party, but I’ve actually spent hours in a hanging egg chair with a thick cushion and it worked fine for reading. The cocoon shape does support your back, but make sure the cushion is firm enough—too soft and you’ll sink. Anyone else tried adding a small footrest to improve posture for longer sessions?

I use my egg chair (https://www.comfyegg.co.uk/collections/hanging-egg-chairs) daily for hours of reading without discomfort, as the deep cushioning supports my back and neck properly. You can find a similar setup at egg chair options with UV-protected baskets and water-resistant cushions that hold up well over time, making those long sessions easy.
