Automation is useful when a hosting or domain account has a long list of routine renewals.
The risky part is the exception.
A domain marked “do not renew” might still belong to a customer project, email setup, redirect or service that is easy to miss in a bulk review.
That makes expiry a much more sensitive action than renewal.
Would you let automation mark a domain “do not renew” without human approval?
