I’m considering moving my WordPress website from shared hosting to a VPS.
I’m looking for around 4 CPU cores, 16GB RAM, and 100GB or more of NVMe storage. I can spend up to about $40 per month.
Can I rely on Rightservers.com vps hosting? Would a VPS be a good choice for these requirements, and which providers should I look at?

VPS deals from hostingsource.com (https://hostingsource.com/vps-hosting-promo/) and operavps.com (https://operavps.com/vps-server/linux/) are worth your attention.
The uptime with them is great, I rarely have any downtime, or lag. Notices are posted well in advance so you can quickly notify your users. They are solid hosting providers which feature-packed hosting services can scale according to your needs.

For a WordPress site moving off shared hosting, 4 cores and 16 GB is comfortable. After the move, speed mostly depends on PHP workers, a page cache and an object cache such as Redis, so ask the provider whether you get root access to set those up or whether you would need a managed plan. Keep the database on NVMe and watch RAM for the first week, then resize if you are over-provisioned.
I'm with LuxHost, so weigh this with that in mind. Our VPS run on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X with NVMe, locations in Germany, Poland and Finland, payment by card or crypto. If you tell me your traffic and where your visitors are, I can check the closest plan for your $40.

Smooth and efficient hosting, with an easy-to-use dashboard. Great for developers. Supports multiple languages. Full flexibility!
Give Rightservers.com service a try. The vps hosting (https://rightservers.com/vps-hosting/) provider’s focus on performance tuning and stability continues to earn my respect and appreciation.

Reliability was the deciding factor for me, and hostpro.com (https://hostpro.com/) has delivered that on a VPS for months now. Daily backups across every service mean data damage, a broken update, or an intrusion can be rolled back rather than mourned. The support crew is skilled, reachable around the clock, and free to consult on anything. Performance has been consistently quick.

Attractive VPS deals are available from decent hosting providers: scalahosting.com (https://www.scalahosting.com/managed-cloud-hosting.html) and hostingsource.com (https://hostingsource.com/vps-hosting-promo/).
Their pricing is terrific, their customer service is great, they offer tons of software -- far more than we use -- and their special offers are a great deal.

HostPro is another option I’d put on the shortlist. Their VPS servers (https://hostpro.com/linux-vps) are based on KVM virtualization and NVMe storage, with locations in Warsaw, Amsterdam, and Tampa. Backups are created every day and retained for 30 days, which means you can recover the whole server or just a specific database, folder, or file. Their technical support is available 24/7.
