Hello friends,
Tips to select a webhost
These are few things to consider to select a webhost.
1) Storage Space and Data Transfer:
Note: It is extremely important to look at the monthly data transfer bandwidth included in a plan.
2) reliability :
3) Technical Support
4) Added Features
Examples of services include also visitor counts, e-mail forwarding options, real time chat, shopping cart functions, and web statistics. The list goes on.
5) Pricing Structure
A good web host company will not tie you into a long-term contract that will prevent you moving if you don't like the service.
6) What type of Web hosting server is offered?
7) Does the Web hosting server provide back-up and recovery services
Thanks

First thing is to check out the purpose of your website. Is your website is going to be small with less resource or it is going to be a website which will contain huge data and resources? For small and new business, shared web hosting is great choice because of its cheap price. But if you are going to have a big online business website like e-commerce than it is better to go for dedicated web hosting service. If you are going to have huge traffic on your website and more resources then you will require good bandwidth to meet your customers or visitors expectations. Visitors generally repel if they have to wait for loading time of website. Another aspect to remember is Disk space, according to your website requirement you must check out that you are getting adequate disk space or not. There are many web hosting companies available with different services and rates and discounts. You will get shared web hosting, dedicated web hosting or free web hosting at different price because you will get the control about the server accordingly. Thus, make sure you are getting the required control according to price.

Take overselling. Thats ok, we all do it as most of buyers will never ever use the space or bandwidth provided. But if the company is not run well then particulally bandwidth can become an issue. For example if the bandwidth is not monitored and changes made as required the hosting can become vey slow and unreliable.

But what if they do use it? Then what do you do?

Hi,
Your ACTUAL needs. You might be excited by hosts that offer 5GB of storage space and 1000GB (1TB) of bandwidth for very low prices, but you should at the very least be wary of such companies. Besides the con issue, ask yourself - do you even need such large resources?

That's a good list. You don't want you bandwidth to be limited too much either.

That company you should consider which can provide you:
•company that own all IP space and do not resell IP space for other hosting companies.
•company which can provide you one of the originals SEO hosting (http://www.seowebhosting.net/packages.php) companies that started in 2006
•24/7 onsite support
•company that help migrate all your data for free with zero downtime
•SEO hosting company that is recommended by seo.com

That is important indeed. But that is something you can't check.

When you’re ready to take the plunge and have a website of your own, there are a lot of choices in terms of web hosts and domain registrars. Some people choose to do everything under one roof and some buy their domain names from one source and their web hosting from another.

Your choice of the web hosting companies defines your presence on the web. You cannot go for just any hosting company if you want your websites and network applications to yield results for your business. So, how do you choose a good web host? Here are a few tips.
Speed and availability
Find out if the company can provide you good network speed and ensure high availability of your website. This is one of the foremost criteria for deciding on a web host. You cannot live with a low speed with high availability or a high speed with low availability. Make sure your chosen web host can assure you of good speed as well as high availability.
Compatibility
Find out if your website is supported by the web host properly. The host should be compatible with your features and needs. If your web pages have been on a certain platform, the hosting service you choose should be able to support that platform. Make sure your bandwidth and disk space requirements are adequately met by the web host.
Service and support
Inquire about the support the host can provide. A host with a 24×7 support is recommended. Part-time support is not good enough to ensure a high availability of your website. Find out the efficiency of their troubleshooting methods. Make sure their recoveries are fast.
Make sure you look at a number of web hosts and compare them. Seek feedback from their current clients to find out how the companies are doing.

Yes, not many people will use that tips. It is more easier to ask on forum if that host good or not :)
Tnx for sharing especially about backups
