I have a blog powered by wordpress, and I want to post categories to the main menu, as pages.

I thought about using a redirection plugin, like Redirection; you can find it on wordpress.org (sorry, not allowed to post links). This way, I though about creating pages with the same names as the categories, and do a redirection from each page to the category it represents.

Will this affect the SEO optimization or how google "sees" me?
Thanks!

No redirecting a page doesn't affect SEO. It is good for users and so for search engines. But remember not to create duplicate pages.

Hi

I am seeing several posts that you have made all related to SEO. My suggestion is to build a good site and make sure you have good content and then worry about SEO. Additionally, before you start posting all your SEO questions here, go out and do some research on your own. Google searches are your friend AND Google also has good information on their site too.

thanks

Why not just create the pages and put them in your nav?
Maybe I'm not following here, but I don't see why a redirect is necessary at all.

Is you getting good quality backlinks on Old link then Redirect this old link on New Link, It will gives your redirected Link's value to your new link. 301 Redirect is best option of SEO.
