View Full Version : Is GoDaddy an ok host for Magneto?

I've always used GoDaddy for hosting, and it's always been ok - but then again, all my other sites are simple and fairly low traffic. So I just purchased a domain through GoDaddy, and a theme through TemplateMonster, and it's time to choose a host. Will I be ok with the basic $5/mo GoDaddy hosting for the first week or so, at which point I can scale up to one of their better plans, or should I get a different host? Also, I have absolutely no idea how to install this thing, so if one of the hosts offers automated installation or something, that'd be a plus. Thanks !

I believe that you need to read customer hosting reviews before to make any final decision.

I do agree with ~ServerPoint~,
You should need some customer hosting reviews to take a final action.

Well, you can also contact them directly and ask them to provide advantage of their magento hosting services.

Normally it works with Godaddy. But the best ... do what @WebhostGIANTRob said.
Quite a good hosting so you can skip the reviews.

Ya Godaddy is good but still you have to search and inquire about other web hosting site so you can get better idea from that...

Don't forget magento is very demanding in resources ..
So why not try a VPS ? plently of VPS providers specialized in magento have a look @ http://demoshop.prohost.be

I believe Magento is not that sensitive so I think it should work fine with GoDaddy.

Cannot say if godaddy is 'ok host' at all The provider cannot be reasonably used in this sphere, according to the customer reviews.

As long as you have Linux hosting, you can install Magento. The template can only apply when you have installed Magento to you hosting plan.
