Hoping this will help other people out who were interested in signing up for new service from 1planhost.com. I just filed a complaint with bbb.com about the service that I have recieved from 1planhost.com.

Basically they did a server migration about 3 weeks ago, and still haven't resolved all issues. They just this week shut down all phone operations so you can no longer call the company. They haven't responded to the 5 emails I have sent, or the 2 phone messages. I have never been more dissatisfied with a service in my entire life. It isn't just me, it is others too, see the following link:

http://1planhost.com.web-hosting-top.com/web-hosting/web-hosting-top.1planhost.com-reviews

My issue was that it took them 2 weeks to fix an issue with FLV's not playing properly, and I still don't have the ability to create new MySQL databases. Their support is horrible, reliability is attrocious, and they never respond to incidents, phone calls, or anything else. They offer a 45 money day guarantee, which I hope they will still honor since I have attempted to contact them when I was still in that window, but when they don't respond for weeks at a time, it is hard to make it in that window.

Maybe you can get a refund for your remaining service time and switch to another provider.

1planhost is Horrific! Our site has been messed up for a month since a fiasco of a server migration. One email back today from the countless emails, trouble tickets, phone calls and messages and chat messages left (because no chat is available.) The email we received today did not even address the problem we were having. We have always had on and off trouble with email. Sometimes it may take a day or more for an email with an attachment to be received by a recipient. RUN screaming from this company.

We have received bad reviews on 1planhost on www.HostMarker.com as well. It appears that they will lose many customers quickly.

We had a ton of trouble with 1Planhost. The 1Planhost migration was a complete mess. Several of our sites were down for days!! Luckily, we found DriveThruWebHosting.com - they helped us get control of our domain name, move our website to their servers, and it has been excellent ever since.

Hope this helps anybody with their problems, since 1Planhost is down all the time.

I used 1planhost for a little while as well. They were pretty good, but I had a prolonged problem with database downtime that they couldn't seem to solve. I guess I may try them again someday...but after they complete this server transition you're talking about! :-O Hosts really have a hard time ensuring good service during these phases...

there's a blog all about it here http://1planhostsucks.blogspot.com

I think it's fair to say they are probably the worst host in the world, and a bunch of lying theives too who dont even honor their refund promises.

Their servers are probably sinclair spectrums or something.

It seems that before it was taken over by this new company the provider was very reliable, however, after the takeover the service and reviews have just deteriorated terribly, I have no idea what 1planhost.com is attempting to do, but it does appear as though it will lose customers rapidly at the rate its going at if changes are not made very quickly.

I guess they completely pulled the plug in the past 2 or 3 days? I was unaware of all the commotion with them, although I've certainly have had my 'ups and downs' with them lately. Now there is nothing accessible on any of their domains, or on mine either. Not even the nameservers.

Found this info..
My last email from 1plan said this...

Dear Client:

There will be an emergency maintenance done tonight on the Control panel server. Starting 11:30PM-3AM June 14, 2006, you will not be able to log in to your control panel. Please note that all of the web sites and email accounts as well as Databases will be working. We apologize for such short notice.

Thank you

OK, so this is pretty scary. Been with 1planhost for several years and have had no major problems. The few times I needed support they helped out pretty quickly. Then everything just goes dead without any warning.

How do I switch hosting of my domain to a new hosting company, since I registered through 1planhost?

Please post here if anyone hears anything else. Thanks.

I concurr...I've had 1planhost for 2 years without any major problems until their April upgrade. The last 2 days, none of my websites are up; and I also noticed that 1planhost.com is also down.

I didn't receive any email notices from them that their sites will be down; so if anyone have any info regarding this, please let me know

thanks

Is anyone seeking legal actions against 1planhost / webhostplus?

It's one thing to have bad service...it's another to have no service, no warnings, no nadda while keeping our money

If anyone knows, please share

Does anyone out there have any information regarding the current 1planhost.com outage as of September 20, 2006. My site and my client's site has been down since Monday, as well as 1planhost.com has been down and email not working with no explanation. They are as usual not answering their phone lines, as if they totally disappeared.

My clients are losing business - Is there any way to release our domain names from this company, WebWeavers which is also non responsive.

They were so great for years and now their service is just simply terrible. The previous owner should be ashamed of himself for selling to such a shafty new host provider.

If anyone has more info please Reach me at NiceMassage@gmail.com

Thank you!
Todd

This sounds like another poorly planned acquisition/migration. We have done several server migrations (one time even from one control panel to another) and I know from experience that if you plan well, there will be no downtime whatsoever.

OK, hang on to your chairs here's a link to the bombshell.
Keep in mind there is no way to confirm all of this its just people
talking on a forum like this one but it seems there is inside information here.

It would seem ther are numerous law suits pending.
1planhost offered %100 up time garantee. will have to look up details.

Good luck to all.

My site seems to back up & running now, FWIW. I'm still getting away from this claptrap company so fast you'll see little cartoon dust clouds.

Step 1: Get my domain over to Register or GoDaddy.
Step 2: Find a new company.

At least Step 1 should be possible now that I can access my Control Panel.

Thanks for the help guys, and good luck!

I had my domain registered with Go Daddy and site files hosted at 1plan/webhostplus/ihosting/?
I publish fom my local files so I didn't lose anything. What's interesting is now that I am hosted on Go Daddy my 50 to 100 spam messages a day dropped to
0 or 1 a day. I still have another domain name only registered with 1planhost. That sould be fun to transfer.
