Its very difficult find out the reasons for penalty. I have discussed with many people but no one is sure what cause Google Penalty. Duplicate content is confirmed but i know the site which was purely designed by my friend but his account was blocked.

I think you yourself have the answer.. its like why did they not allowed me to come in?
Since, you must have been late or its your habit, similar way Google will check things from his algorithm. Check with the above inputs too.. :)
