Infinitie Networks, a leading web presence provider today announced the completion of IPv6 deployment across their network.
Infinitie Networks' networking team has been working very hard over the past 2 months to enhance the Core Network and as of 4/26/2011 Infinitie Networks is fully IPv6 Ready and Capable. They are routing IPv6 natively over the entire network and to the internet via Hurricane Electric with Global Crossing being added to the ipv6 routing blend in the coming weeks.
Infinitie Networks is now offering IPv4 and IPv6 Dual Stack address space on all new Dedicated Server and Colocation Orders. Each new dedicated server, colocation, and IP Transit customer will be receiving a /64 of IP address space to begin testing and implementation of new software. A /64 is roughly 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 IP addresses and is the smallest allocation that ARIN suggests to be allocated to an end user. With approximately 4 billion of these /64 allocations belonging to Infinitie they do not expect to run out for quite some time.
Over the course of the coming weeks the website http://www.infinitie.net will be upgraded to be fully accessible over both IPv4 and IPv6.
According to Austin Giebel the Director of Network Operations for Infinitie Networks
"We are excited to be pioneers of this technology and to be able to provide it to our customers. This is a truly exciting advancement for the Infinitie Networks Community."
