People and businesses often utilize blogs on their websites, but few understand the potential advantages of using a blog platform for total website management. Blog platforms allow for relatively easy changes through a simple "WYSIWYG" interface that most individuals can learn to use pretty quickly. Other website publishing options require in-depth knowledge of HTML coding, and/or complex web publishing software.
Some think that utilizing blog software for their website means that they will have to become "bloggers" who are constantly updating their sites. This is not true - you can update your site as often as you want to.
An additional objection to using a blog platform is that some individuals don't want their websites to look like a typical blog. While in the early days of blogs, the software did not allow much in the way of customization, there are now many options for customizing the look of a blog.
For example, many blog themes allow for customized header graphics, variations in text fonts, customization of where navigation and other links appear, and just about any other variations in website layout you could want.
