I want my site to expand and contract depending on how much content I have, my site is accessmarkspixel.com and as you can see the content on some pages is much longer or shorter than the background image, how can i make it get longer automatically depending on content?

Its all depends upon your design Max-height 300 pixels and even min-width if u gave up in the CSS then you can solve it and even if you set the height auto in your script it will enlarge as what ever content changes you have done.

In today's advance web development techniques there are no major restrictions over page lengths.

There is no need to make the back ground image long or shot. There are two types of property is supported by the CSS for designing the background of the text. They are Repeat and No repeat. When you are giving Repeat, the background image will repeat according to the length of your text.If the background is plane then it works fine.If you have any image on the back ground, then it looks odd while repeating. So, the No repeat property is used.In this, the background will be fixed and the text will scroll. So, background is not getting affected by the length of the text.
