This is the Internet, rather than a book, so forget large blocks of text. Maybe I will visit your site work, and I have other things, so make sure, I can scan the entire content. Points, head, subheadings, lists. Any help the reader filter what he is looking for.

What I hate the most is huge banners by web hosts. Sometimes, it appears as if it is their website and not ours. :)

A great web design has purposeful aesthetics. A website doesn’t include something just because it is pleasing to the eye. It must be pleasing to the eye while serving a vital purpose on the website. Having frivolous graphics can be confusing to a viewer.

A web interface must clear and easy to understand. Avoid using too many colours and too many graphic, make it simple. Avoid having 3 basic colours, red, blue and yellow in one page to prevent eye-confusion.

I would also like to add "not having a well-designed logo" that is remarkable to users. Well-designed Logo always catch the attraction of users and leave positive impact. And yes, all points are very important to consider while designing any sites, specially navigation should be proper.

A web page with too elegant of a typeface could get surfed right over. If your textual content is difficult to study, either because of typeface size or color you could unintentionally turn individuals off. Some individuals who create their own website or use commonly used web style layouts instead of using a professional artist don't hassle to check the fill time of their web page.

An excellent web style has purposeful appearance. A web page does not involve something just because it is attractive to the eye. It must be attractive to the eye while offering a important objective on the web page. Having irs style can be complicated to a audience.

Web Design is very important to give the presence on the internet. The common mistakes in the design are like designers are using the flash and animation in the design hence the website takes much loading time. The navigation of the links is not being set properly in the design. There is lots of use of the images rather than the text. The color combination is not properly used in the design.
