Since I'm about to sign up with a new web host and different hosts offer different packages I got a little confused with 2 terms:
E-mail-Accounts and email-alias.
What's the difference ?
thanks.

email account means your email address and email alias means your user name
if your email is "zack@gmail.com"
than alias is "zack"

An alias is a "fake"; when an alias is created, no mailbox is created - only a forwarder which passes email along to an email account (mailbox) you already have.

Well, the "e-mail account" Usually when people refer to a POP3 account.
E-mail alias is typically the agent is the correct address ..
For illustration ...
user1@domain.com can be an e-mail. The real e-mail address of your POP3 account.
user2@domain.com may be an alias. Simply user1@domain.com delivered, and who are resident in the mailbox user1.
I have several domains that all forward to a single POP3 account, rather than having a separate account for each POP3, it is much easier and faster to check a single POP3 account on my E-Mail client to check email ten accounts POP3.

Jimfaster is right. An alias is like a redirection to your real email account.

Email Alias is a virtual email. For instance, you have sample.com as your primary domain, you have also registered another domain, example.com as your secondary domain. Every hosting allow only 1 domain name, therefore you can put the secondary domain as domain alias (some call it parked domain) at your control panel.
When you put example.com as a domain alias, the domain is virtually exist with website and email address whereby it is same as your primary domain, sample.com. For instance, you created an email: adam[at]sample.com from your control panel, your secondary domain is also virtually exist as adam[at]example.com.
On the other word, adam[at]example.com has no mailbox. When people email you to adam[at]example.com, it will appear at adam[at]sample.com mailbox. So, adam[at]example.com is the email alias.

Email accounts - You can create unique mail ids and use through the server.
Email aliases - Just an email id which should redirect all the incoming emails to the specified email address.

Gmail bids countless storing space. In addition, it as well has Buzz combined, serving me to part my opinions with no trouble. Furthermore, the in-built conversation choice is prodigious.
