Back-links can improve your SEO?

Through do-follow back-links of-course we can get high SERPs and as well as PR too. Because search engine and specially Google requires high PR + Do-follow back-links to get high SERPs and Page-Rank.

Usually, Yahoo gives more number of backlinks than that of Google. The reason why Google hides some of the links could be for the competition of the websites. For example a competitor to a top ranking domain (say shhjsjsjhshjsjshj.com) could start buying all backlinks to the said domain, if google displays all the backlinks.

Backlinking is made when various different web sites point towards the one you work with, or a even a more successful strategy is if you make a chain of links. Meaning, one link points to a second one, which is located in another directory and so on. But in general everything depends on the PR of the directory you are linking, but not generally. If you are linking from a lower PR site to a higher, that is consisted to be a good strategy. However, it is not said that it has to be that way, which means that either way is a good way. In general one has to act what ever way possible for Google to see it.
PR is formed depending on two therms. If the link is dofollow and the PR of the domain, from which you are linking. That plays the main role, also the age of the domain is a factor. However, PR is a authoritative indicator.
When talking about the SERP ( Search engine results page ) everything is in play. The links, the number of links, are they dofollow or are they not, both are welcome.
