Ok, I already know that most of the people on here think that meta keywords are a waste of time but my question is do the meta keywords play a factor when calculating the keyword density of a page/site?

what are the top keywords on the web - the ones that attract the greatest volume of searches? Knowing these keywords can be fun: who's the most popular, Paris or Britney? YouTube or MySpace? BBC or CNN?

But they also have a serious side. The top keywords give you clues to what's happening on the web and that extra bit of insight could give you the edge. You can track the zeitgeist with Wordtracker.

Now days, Meta keywords are not calculating the keyword density of a page because Meta keywords are not existence in present. Meta keywords were kicked out by search engines for the reason of spamming by webmasters.
