You should try to post thread that are relevant that add value to the forum instead of posting thread for the sake of getting back-links.

You can start new thread with an interesting topic. But you should aware about that same thread isn't been available in forum. You can share your knowledge by starting new thread and also you can ask about your query in relevant category of forum.
