Web hosting->A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible via the World Wide Web.

Software Solution->A marketing term used for selling a software product without bothering the client with the often dizzying distinctions between software, application etc.

knowledge base software (http://www.knowledgebaseforce.com/benefits.aspx)

Web hosting is merely a space that you rent from the hosting provider. You create the website and email using your domain name.

Software normally host at the server, where web hosting plan is needed in this place. It is a written program where you can manage your system more systematic. You can also have several layer/privilege of login for individuals to check out your products/services.

According to me, a real web programmer would know just as much as a desktop application programmer. not necessarily about systems and memory, but they would know more about security, and validating the user input...........

Thanks a lot.....

Web hosting- The increase in demand of the web hosting company has made the scope also very large. Everyone need to build their own website for the business and also want to make it online for the public so that whenever the customer browse the Internet can look at their website that they have made for their business and can come to know about their business.

Software solution- The software solution is the set of programs or the services and are responsible for the requirements specification, system analysis and design, construction, etc.

Web hosting and software both are different things and solutions for both of these things are also different and while devolving a website or software you need to do adopt secure sdlc (https://www.checkmarx.com/solutions-2/secure-sdlc/) techniques so that you will not face any kind of problem afterwards.

It’s important to recognize the differences between Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and hosted software so that you’re able to choose the option that best suits your needs. In simple terms, SaaS is a service you pay for and the host is a product you own outright.

SaaS—also called software on demand—provides access to software via the Internet. Its pay-as-you-go method allows a customer to use the software on an as-needed basis, without needing to install it or purchase a license. SaaS applications can be accessed securely by multiple customers, each of whom typically pays a monthly usage fee.

SaaS is:
Reliable
Initially cost-effective, but can be costlier over time
Free of technical participation by the customer

On the other hand, hosted basically means a customer purchases and owns software; each customer is treated separately, with individual instances of software, databases, and servers. This model entails installing the software via a hosting center and—though it typically costs less in the long run—it often requires a large upfront payment.

Hosted is:
Secure
Initially expensive, but can be more affordable over time
Customizable by the owner

Hosting essentially means you buy your software solution from a publisher or Value Added Reseller (VAR) such as Clients First Business Solutions. You would then have the software installed at a data center or 'hosting center' where either physical or virtualized servers that you own/lease/finance are set up.
