According to my thinking 3 to 4 keywords are enough for a page.

It depends on different factors including the competition in your field and the strength of your pages.

Sometimes you have to create an entire website with hundreds pages to get ranked in top 10 by just 3-5 keywords, and sometimes you can optimize a page for 10 and more keywords at once if they're not very competitive.

But in average I agree that a web page should be optimized for 2-3 main keywords (home page may undertake 3-5 keywords).

According to my opinion there should be 3-keywords in the article. One should be in the body and other two should be in the resource box.
