View Full Version : Are there any good, inexpensive annual payment web hosts?

I've got a domain hosted by what I call an "annual payment" webhost, where I pay once a year. I like being able to pay and forget (instead of needing to pay every month) and don't mind paying a year in advance, and it seems to be cheaper than most monthly plans. But that said, it seems like my website images are loading painfully slow these days, and sometime the website doesn't load at all.
For a basic, plain vanilla, mainly text, low bandwidth website, is it possible to find a decent annual payment hosting company, or am I expecting too much? Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks!

If you are planning to pay yearly, you should be 100% sure in web host's reliability and stability.
Some new web hosts can play disappear with you, so I'd suggest to find as much as possible signs of reliability before to purchase web hosting plan.

There are many web hosts but they should be paid yearly, if you are planning a long time website, you can find anyone in google.

many of them are actually allowing to choose the payment frequency, and even allow saving for longer periods.
may suggest considering santrex.net or hostingsource.com. hostingsource is for example giving 12% discount for annually billed orders.

I'd like to say that I have great network uptime and the connection speed is fast at least by my standards with Ultrawebsitehosting.com.. check out their affordable hosting plans - Use coupon code "SEPT995" while ordering for $9.95 off your order!
You will also have nice bonuses. They will pass on the savings to you.

Have you checked our new promotion? Also, I would suggest taking a look at webhostreportcards.com, webhostreportcards.com/reportcards.aspx
This site does actual user-submitted reviews. If you check the Facebook business page you will also find "Yearly" deals. facebook.com/zipservers.

I agree! :) Which is why I was asking if anyone could recommend a host (that has been around for a while).
I checked a couple of the companies recommended above, but only saw monthly plans. :( Are annual plans (that are nicely discounted for the upfront payment) are rare thing now?

Other customer's reviews of the hosting services. Same as any business, the hosting vendor should be able to provide good references.

Check out glowhost.com cheap hosting (http://glowhost.com/hosting/shared/index.php) plans. They have both yearly and monthly payment options.
Overall reliability is great, the control panel is easy to use, and useful, things work the way they say they will - basically impressed with these guys.

I suppose you need to use experienced hosting. I know Interactiveonline (http://interactiveonline.com/) company which is providing quality services since 1997 with nice support and stable plans, give them a try.

You have just explained the problem with yearly payment! Still want the same experience?
Monthly payment is no pain, as the hosts charge your card automatically. No need of manual payment.
Almost all hosts offer annual payment, as they obviously want to tie you up. Monthly payment is made relatively expensive for the same reason. You would be better off signing up for monthly payment and change to yearly payment after couple of months, if everything goes on fine.
Think that you will be pleased to use m6.net web hosting services.. the thing is that they have been providing hosting services for 14 years, so it can be a good option. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good, steady host.

As i know 4goodhosting.com is also accepting annual billing and, being rather cheap, they allow to save funds even more.

Searching for a good web host? Looking through hosting forums would be your best option. Why? Due to the fact that they are not paid advertisements, there will be actual reviews to back up their services.
Services play a big part whether you would choose a monthly subscription or yearly. Most hosting providers offer a discount for yearly packages also.
IMO: I would suggest finding a reliable hosting provider, try their services for a few months and if you feel comfortable with what they offer, invest in a yearly subscription due to being eligible for the yearly discount, locked in prices, stability (not having to miss monthly payments) and so forth.
