Link Wheel is one kind of off page link building tactic which has great benefits regarding to search engines. You have set up of 5 or more web 2.0 websites or webpages and put up link them with one another. This will make one kind of circulation process like wheel. So why it is called 'Link Wheel' process.

Instructions

1
Write a Squidoo lens about your website topic. Then put a link in your Squidoo lens back to your website. You can open an account at Squidoo by clicking on the link in the resources section of this article.

2
Write an article about your topic and submit it to any of the online article directories. You can use GoArticles or Ezinearticles or any of the other many article directories online. Include a link back to your Squidoo lens in your article or resource box.

3
Create a Hubpage about your topic and link it back to the article that you wrote in step 2. You can open a Hubpages account by clicking on the link in the resources section.

4
Create a Google Knol about your topic and include a link back to your Hubpage.

5
Make a one page Blogger blog and link it back to your Google Knol. You can actually use the same Blogger blog to place links for many different link wheels.

6
At this point you can either choose to leave the wheel as it is, and leave it "open" or you can close the wheel by linking your website back to your Blogger blog. Either way, you will see your website rise in the search engines over the next week or two.

Instead of creating a link wheel, just post original articles to each web 2.0 property and it will work very well without been considered as spam.

Link wheels are nothing but a group of websites that are interconnected which try to improve the ranking of a target website by linking to target website. For example if you have 50 websites in your link wheel and the website you are targeting is "yourdomain.com", then:
Site 1 links to Site 2 and back to the "yourdomain.com"
Site 2 links to Site 3 and back to the "yourdomain.com"
Site 3 links to Site 4 and back to the "yourdomain.com"
...

Link wheel is like a loop. Suppose you have a n number of sites to place your all link. You will place first link on the 1 website and the link of 1st website will place on the second so on the same process .At the end you put the link of Nth site on the 1st site.
