How to get good results on google?

Ive developed many sites before but ive never actally tried to get good results on google. How do you get your site ranked high on google?

first of all you need to optimize your sites content and onpage systems. These elements are content, meta tags and title. Once these elements are correctly developed then you move on to building links etc. Once you have been building links for a while and your onsite stuff is right you should start to see your site ranking better.
