i guys, I would like to know if C, C++, or C# is important in web development? Are they necessary for someone whose main goal is building and designing web application.

If the answer is yes, I would like to know the type of role any of the program plays in web development and it would be nice if you show me a site that uses any of the above language.

If I have seen some websites that uses java but isn't it possible for javascripts,php, to achieve the same goal?

Usually for web, I think these are commonly used html,css, php, javascript, jquery. for web applications php, java.

I think it's depending on making of the website and which type of features, functionality and look client wants in their business website. There are many technologies used for website design like HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, JQuery etc… But as you have defined HTML, PHP and JAVA, you can use JAVA because JAVA can give good functionality to develop website and JavaScript make good design of your website.
