Virtual hosts allow you to have a domain name, and provides a large space for you to use, that is, you can use it to build an online kingdom, make their own network, and receive a 24-hour full-service provider. The principle simply says, that is stored on a server's multiple pages, multiple domains sharing a single server. On this server bind multiple IP addresses, domain names using the directory path mapped interpret. These virtual hosts are "foreign property", and specifically how to construct a manifold as the internal circuit, the average user does not need to understand.

Virtual hosts means running multiple virtual web sites on one system. Virtual hosting is what hosting companies do for each site it hosts. When you open an account, they setup a virtual host on their server and you can rent that space off the server that everyone else uses. This is also known as shared hosting, because the server is shared with others.

A virtual hosting environment lets you run multiple guest operating systems on a single host computer at the same time.

Often abbreviated vhost, a virtual host is a provider of Web services that include server functions and Internet connection services. A virtual host is often used by companies or individuals that do not want to purchase and maintain their own Web servers and Internet connections.
A virtual host will provide its customers with domain name registration, file storage and directory services for the files that Web page is built from, e-mail services and even Web site design and creation services if the customers want someone else to build their Web sites.

Virtual hosting is a method for hosting multiple domain names (with separate handling of each name) on a single server (or pool of servers). This allows one server to share its resources, such as memory and processor cycles, without requiring all services provided to use the same host name. The term virtual hosting is usually used in reference to web servers but the principles do carry over to other internet services.

Virtual Host is an online marketplace where IT providers and service seekers get in contact to send and receive information.

How a virtual host works:

There are many ways to configure a virtual host, and most of the methods used today are presented below:
In IP-based virtual hosting, you can use different IP addresses for each domain. This is one of the three simplest methods.

1. IP based:
There can be multiple domains on one server, and each domain will have a unique IP address.

2. Port-based
In IP-based hosting, multiple sites share the same IP. On the other hand, there is a different IP address for each virtual Host in port-based hosting, and the servers are configured to respond to those sites depending on their server port.

3. Based on the name
Name-based virtual hosts are the most widely used and widely used technique for web hosting. A name-based virtual host will use one IP address for all domains on the given server. When a browser tries to connect to the server, it sends a message informing it of which domain to which it is trying to connect to. The server then checks the configuration, forwards the message, and displays that site.
