As google can now crawl the content embedded in flash as well. Still there are certain things that you need to check and make sure that it works well.

1. Alternative Option for Flash : for the browser which does not support flash, Give some alternative option for them so they don't leave your site. There are tools which extract text from flash which you can use as an alternate.

2. Keep the alternative Content same as in Flash: to remove duplicate issue, you must take care that the content that you have displayed as an alternative must be the same in flash. Don't try to put different versions.

Very right about SEO of flash site, my company's website home page is in flash and i was assign the task to do the SEO of home page. For that i have done the same thing as you mentioned in you post and now i am enjoying good ranking... cheers..

- for me i believe to provide external view page or something add on like cdn so that website do not load slow.
- make sure that the flash is attractive enough and do not repeat so that customer will not leave your site by waiting your flash loading or optimise the flash loading page with some picture or funny flash do allow them to stay and wait and expect to see more when your site is load finish .
