View Full Version : What web host to choose for running personal web site?
I would like to launch personal web site and need your help in choosing the best host for me.
Need 10GB space, 100GB bandwidth - budget is $5-8/mo!
I have found Ultrawebsitehosting.com and Grabweb.net companies and recognized that they offer really nice shared hosting accounts.
What host would you choose if you were me? Why?

Havaweb.com is a great webhost. I first approached them to build and host a landscaping business website I have which came out fine. Now I also host my personal blog there as well and I couldn't be happier with the results and performance of each. I'd check them out and see what they can do your you.

There are lots of web hosts out there, but pick one with good support. Try talking to their staff to see how much time they're willing to give to their customers.

You can send an email to a potential web hosting service and judge their customer service, firsthand.

google and search some review , don't simply put order in term of the price but their services and quality wise is the most important. Anyhow , you may probably make some survey on your country provider:)

For a personal website you just need a half decent shared hosting account. Have a look at the hosting offers here on this forum and look for a company that has been around for at least 3 years and has more than one full time staff. I noticed someone said in this thread to choose a VPS, this is nonsense advice. For $20 per year you'll find something quite decent.

Check prices on both sign up and renewal.
