Sustaining Rank on Google

Attaining a page rank on Google is not a big task but what is important is how you sustain that position for long. I have modified a website and it attained a good position as good keywords were placed in right places. Though, I was not done completely with the keyword objective but still it achieved a position which is hard to get. With only 7 backlinks, I do feel that it’ll drop to a lower position all of a sudden in future. All I want to know is how to sustain this kind of position for long without any big troubles?

You keep you place in google's search results the same way that you attain your place in google's search results: making new and relevant contact and building back-links. That's all there is too it.
