Hello friends..

I wаѕ thinking about that whаt wουƖԁ bе thе top reasons fοr losing SERP ranking οn Google.

I hаνе 1 site thаt used tο bе ranked οn thе first page fοr many ɡrеаt keywords, thеn lost аƖƖ іtѕ SERP rank.

what would be the major reasons behind that..

share your answers.

A major reason might be violation of Google guidelines (selling links, keyword stuffing, duplicate content..).
I suffered a major downfall due to canonicalization issue and it took almost 2-3 weeks to make a comeback.

Here’s Matt Cutts coming up with possible reasons for drop in SERPs

Remember, your competitors are not sitting idle. Analyse their link building strategy, might be possible their links are more quality than yours.

well there could be many reasons for this to happen. But if you haven't made many changes to your site since it was ranked well and still it slipped backwards to further pages them maybe you didn't do anything wrong but your competitors worked more on those keywords than you did.
