PHP is a relatively easy scripting language to learn. Programmers with backgrounds in languages like C or Perl should have no problem using PHP. There are also a large number of free online resources to learn more about this scripting language.I'm curious to see What version of PHP you use.

I am not using PHP but i have some idea about PHP 5 like it supports SOAP, MySQLi, and variety of other extensions are significant milestones in PHP.

With regards to PHP this will depend on the version of OS X you are running Server.app on. Remember Server.app 5.2 can be run on both El Capitan and Sierra. You can check what version of PHP you have installed by typing the following command in Terminal.app on your Mac server.

I am not using PHP but according to my knowledge PHP 5 version is best as it has more features.

I am using php 5, we are thinking of updating to 7 but for now i don't think it is necessary.

We use the latest PHP Zend version 5.6.31. for development.
